Pictured is the Canadian FIDO Futurliner
making its way to its new home in Chandler, AZ. The
colossal Futurliner lumbers out of Scottsdale's WestWorld and heads
down Loop 101. Ron Pratte bought the Futurliner for $4 million at
the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in January of 2006.
The Futurliner was too large to bring on
the stage at the Barrett-Jackson auction so it remained parked in
the corner of the bidding floor during its auction. Mike

The FIDO Futurliner was billed as
"a matchless symbol of the American auto industry at the height
of its power and influence." 20,000 attendees stood and
cheered as the frenzied bidding rewrote the Barrett-Jackson
record for a vehicle sold by more than $1 million dollars.
